January 26, 2012: The band has cancelled their February show at The Port in favour of taking a few months to finish off some more original material. Stay tuned for concert announcements for the Spring/Summer period. January 18, 2012: The band is pleased to announce that their first indie record, Towers of Gold, will be released on January 21, 2012. They will be hosting a CD release event at The Port that evening starting at 9PM. January 12, 2012: Our family gets bigger. desperate executives 'officially' welcomes Billy Tai to the band. Billy is an uber talented bassist and all around great guy. January 10, 2012: desperate executives is currently in the studio recording their first EP. This 5 track disc of originals is expected to be released by the end of January. The tentative name for the album is 'Towers of Gold'.
